Bus Trip: LaSalle Canal Boat Tour

 This summer visit North Central Illinois' newest attraction: the LaSalle Canal Boat and the Lock 16 Vistor's Center in LaSalle, IL. The Vistor's Center will feature exibits and multimedia about the historic Illinois and Michigan Canal. The Canal, a 96-mile hand dug waterway connected the Illinois River with Lake Michigan, which opened in 1848. Next, enjoy a boat ride on a replica 1800's canal boat pulled by horses on the IM Canal. On this relaxing ride, guides dressed in canal era uniforms, tell the story of how the Canal changed Illinois history. Later enjoy a great lunch at Starved Rock Lodge. A stop at the Starved Rock Vistor's Center will be made after lunch.
